"Forty days and Forty nights"

Last year, when I was reading about Noah's Ark, I read the phrase "forty days and forty nights." I got curious and did a bible search on the phrase and found that it was in four locations in the bible. The first three were in the Tanakh and the fourth one is in the Gospels. I bookmarked the page and forgot about it but knowing Abba, I know He let me forget it for a reason. So today I saw it in my bookmarks and started to look into it again.
There are four areas the “forty days and forty nights” phrase is in:
Genesis ch 7
Exodus ch 24 & 34 and repeated in Deuteronomy ch 9 & 10
1 Kings ch 19
Matthew ch 4
In Matthew chapter 4, the fourth location, Yeshua is lead out into the wilderness by The Spirit to be tempted by satan. The three test He was given correspond with the first three areas in the Tanakh where the "40 days and 40 nights" are. I also noticed besides Mathew ch 4, the temptation of Yeshua is also in Mark 1:12-13 and Luke 4:1-13. They both don't have the phrase "forty days and forty nights" and in Mark's account, there is only a brief statement. In Luke's account, is like Mathew's account, but the 2nd and 3rd temptation is reversed. Why? The gospel of Luke was mainly written for the Gentiles. So I'll have to ask Abba what He was up to when He had Luke do that.
So in the first temptation, satan asked Yeshua to turn stones into bread. Yeshua replies “It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." In Genesis ch 7, Abba tells Noah to "Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time." Noah was protected by Abba for 40 days and 40 nights in the ark, away from the destruction of mankind. He was the only one left that listened and obeyed Abba. Man cannot do it by themselves. Man left to their own ways will always lead to destruction. We need to follow Abba and listen. He has already given us provision to follow Him and as Yeshua said "on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
In the second temptation, in Mathew ch 4:5, satan asked Yeshua to jump off the top of the temple and the angels will protect you. Yeshua said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test." In Exodus ch 24 & 34 and repeated in Deuteronomy ch 9 & 10, the children of Israel put Abba to the test when Moshe was with Him on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights and made a golden calf to create another god to worship. The idol of self-worship and licentiousness of the flesh, going back to their way in Egypt. Moshe came down and saw they had did this. He threw down the commandments symbolizing them breaking the covenant with Abba. He has them choose sides and 3,000 died that day. Moshe then goes back up Mt. Horeb for forty more days & nights and prays for the children of Israel & Aaron. Abba forgives them, two more tablets are made and the covenant is renew.
In the third temptation, in Mathew ch 4:8, satan asked Yeshua to fall down and worship Him if he gives him all his kingdoms. Yeshua said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY." In 1 Kings ch 18:17-40, Elijah show the children of Israel they have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and are worshiping a demon gods baal and only The Lord is your God and only He is to be worshiped. He puts the 450 prophets of baal to the test and kills them. He shows the children of Israel, Abba is calling their name. The people believed but Ahab told his wife Jezebel what Elijah had done and she threatens Elijah. He runs away to the desert and falls asleep. The angel wakens him twice and has him eat. He journey’s to Mt. Horeb for forty days and forty nights. He spoke to Abba and Abba told him this “Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.” 1 Kings ch 19:11-12. Abba shows Elijah He isn't in the harsh wind, earth quake, and fire but will start a new thing, He's in a gentle blowing. Yeshua will fulfill this by giving us the Holy Spirit. When we worship Abba we can now be in His presence thru His Spirit.
In all three scriptures from the Tanakh, shows the sin nature of man and Abba having to intercede for his children. Some accepted, some did not. It also shows how strong of a love Abba has for us. Perusing us to be intimate again. In the first temptation a man and his family was saved. In the second temptation, a nation is saved. In the third temptation, the world can be saved. Yeshua restores back and redeems the relationship to Abba in the three temptations.

"The day that turned back time"

In the Gregorian calendar, Yeshua's birth separated time, Before Christ (B.C.) and Anno Domini (A.D.). It created a point in time where time would begin and end.
I have also notice another part in his life where Yeshua changes time again. A spiritual time clock, that goes in reverse when He rises from the dead. Yeshua died on the cross (a stopping point) death - end, but then He rises from the dead (a starting point) life - beginning.
We know that after the tribulation period, after the earth is judged, the millennium reign begins. The earth is restored and we have new resurrected bodies, the same as Yeshua's. His resurrection is a starting point for time to start restoring not in the millennium reign. For example we see this when we cook. There is always a prep time before you start. You would not be able to start cooking without it. Abba needs to prepare us before we live with him in the New Jerusalem.
At the beginning, the garden was a dwelling place for Abba and man. This won't happen again until the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven and Abba dwells with us. Today, we can now see we are going in reverse to the end, back to the beginning point "The Garden".
There are several points in time or bench marks from the past, but after Yeshua's resurrection, the points in the future are restored. The bench marks before Yeshua's resurrection; Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden, Noah's Ark, the Tower of Babel, Abraham & Isaac, the Ten Commandments.
After the children of Israel wondered for 40 years, the children of God went to the promise land but still with the stone tablets. The foreshadowing of the "Ten Commandments” is the law will now be written on our hearts and the Holy Spirit inside us. Israel being baptized, having faith in & accepting Yeshua before His death on the cross. Just like Abraham having faith in Abba, leaving his home and following Him. As Abraham chooses Abba, we must choose to stop being the children of Israel and become the children of God.
The foreshadowing of Abraham & Isaac is Yeshua death on the cross. God's son is being sacrificed on the cross for the sins of all. Isaac was replaced with a ram representing the Levite priests sacrificing animals on the alter for Israel's sins. Yeshua is Pesach lamb, sin offering is made. The restoration time clock has started.
The Tower of Babel is the longest of the foreshadowing’s. It is still happening now. At the tower, the people came together and united as one. This was very bad because the judgment of the earth would have come and sin couldn't be dealt with. Same with the garden & the tree of life. Abba had to block us from going in the garden and now He had to confuse us from uniting. He also did it for this reason, for more people to be born, to have a choice, either now or in the millennium reign. He knows how many people will choose Him and is giving them every opportunity, including to be born. Today we are becoming one once again because of the technology and the governmental policies that are causing the world to unite. Also the people’s hearts are becoming more and more evil. Eventually all of mankind; their thoughts, actions, and deeds will be continually evil. Just like in Noah's time judgment will soon come.
The Noah's Ark foreshadowing, is the rapture of the church. This will most likely force the world to become one. This will be the start of the tribulation period. In Luke 17:26, Yeshua says “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man” in the tribulation period people will not be ignorant they will know who Abba is and chose not to follow him.
The foreshadowing of Adam & Eve being kicked out of the garden is the millennium reign. We can't live in the garden yet. We will be in our resurrected bodies and the earth will be restored but sin is still possible. The children born during this time will still need to choose and unfortunately Abba has to let lucifer out one last time before He sends him to the Lake of Fire. Letting him out will sift the wheat from the tares one last time, then the great white throne of judgment. After all this, the new heaven and new earth are made, with the New Jerusalem down from heaven and Abba dwells with us again. We are back to the beginning point "The Garden" is "New Jerusalem" where we are restored and living with Abba. This is the second age, the age to come.
Rev 21:1-7 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. "And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new "And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." Then He said to me, "It is done I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.” He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son."

Revival?

About ten years ago at church, I was talking to Abba about the early church and asked why we are not like that today and He said "Intimacy with me" I had a puzzled look on my face and said thinking to myself "I'm intimate with Abba?" What I didn't understand was, I wasn't mature enough to get what He was saying. I look back now and see the difference of how much I still need to grow.
If you tell a 4 year old child where a baby comes from, it would be a very basic answer but if you ask a 14 year old child where a baby comes from, it would be same but with a lot more understanding and maturity behind it.
When the early church and the catholic church started to divide apart, the gifts, intimacy, & knowledge of the Spirit left with the early church. Today there are pockets here and there but with no real communication. The catholic church became dominate religion and many different sects & religions came from it but unfortunately all of them did not know Abba and quench the Holy Spirit. We need to be intimate with Abba and grow in the Spirit. Abba gave us an outpouring of the Spirit in the 1970's, intimacy & moving of the Holy Spirit came back. Remember the dove? Once again, history repeating itself, it was later replaced by religious theories on God, not intimacy. It became an organized religion. They had to bring in the people, controlling what they think, regurgitating the same religious notions from people still stuck in the past teachings of preachers instead of seeking Abba and hearing His Spirit. Modern born again, church going people today, have no clue who He is or what it takes to be intimate. Most people are still stuck at a infant level. We as individuals are the "Church" and it is inside us, not a building. We are responsible for our walk with Abba - not our pastors. Yeshua made this clear in Matthew 23:8-12 "But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. But the greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted."
Fortunately, Abba will still bless those who seek Him at church or any where else, at any level, as long as we seek Him and become intimate and grow. We are all equal in Christ, all having different gifts at different levels of understanding.
When we truly understand something we become responsible for that understanding. When I hear churches cry out for revival, I cringe. If people really understood what they are asking Abba for they would cringe too. Abba and His mercy knows we could never handle that much knowledge without intimacy and maturity level. "To whom much is given, much is required." There would be so many Ananias and Sapphira lying dead because of the lack of maturity. Once you have that understanding you become responsible for it but if you don't have that maturity level, it's like giving a baby a stick with fire. The baby will do what it wants, not what the parent wants.
We need to seek Abba and hear His Spirit and mature. Lord revive our hearts and help us grow. Start the revival in me.

This is my favorite song from Paul Wilbur's album "Holy Fire"

"He binds the broken hearted"

You bind the broken hearted
You heal the wounded soul
Father of all heaven
We give You full control
Come have Your way in us, O Lord
Come set our spirits free
O Father send revival
And start the work in me

Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Father come and fill me once again
Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Fill me with Your oil and Your wine

Fill me with Your Spirit
I want to see Your face
To live in Your presence
Know Your glory and Your grace
It's not my will but Yours I choose
To follow to the end
So mold me, yes, and make me
Let a new day begin

Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Spirit come and fill me once again
Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Fill me with Your oil and Your wine

Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Jesus come and fill me once again
Lord, I hunger, thirst for Your righteousness
Fill me with Your oil and Your wine
