Complete Jewish Bible

I always love reading this version of the bible. For some reason it speaks to my heart better than the others. Here is a chapter I just read for my Sapphires daily bible verses. I read the whole chapter rather than just the verses. Enjoy :0)

Romans 12:1-21 I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please him; it is the logical “Temple worship” for you. In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed. For I am telling every single one of you, through the grace that has been given to me, not to have exaggerated ideas about your own importance. Instead, develop a sober estimate of yourself based on the standard which God has given to each of you, namely, trust. For just as there are many parts that compose one body, but the parts don’t all have the same function; so there are many of us, and in union with the Messiah we comprise one body, with each of us belonging to the others. But we have gifts that differ and which are meant to be used according to the grace that has been given to us. If your gift is prophecy, use it to the extent of your trust; if it is serving, use it to serve; if you are a teacher, use your gift in teaching; if you are a counselor, use your gift to comfort and exhort; if you are someone who gives, do it simply and generously; if you are in a position of leadership, lead with diligence and zeal; if you are one who does acts of mercy, do them cheerfully. Don’t let love be a mere outward show. Recoil from what is evil, and cling to what is good. Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing respect. Don’t be lazy when hard work is needed, but serve the Lord with spiritual fervor. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer. Share what you have with God’s people, and practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you — bless them, don’t curse them! Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be sensitive to each other’s needs — don’t think yourselves better than others, but make humble people your friends. Don’t be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but try to do what everyone regards as good. If possible, and to the extent that it depends on you, live in peace with all people. Never seek revenge, my friends; instead, leave that to God’s anger; for in the Tanakh it is written,“Adonai says, ‘Vengeance is my responsibility; I will repay.’” On the contrary,“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For by doing this, you will heapfiery coals of shame on his head.” Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

"Jesus is Alive!"

Jesus Is Alive
By Ron Kenoly

Hallelujah
Jesus is alive
Death has lost it's victory
And the grave has been denied
Jesus lives forever
He's alive! He's alive!
He's the Alpha and Omega
The first and last is He
The curse of sin is broken
And we have perfect liberty
The lamb of God has risen
He's alive, He's alive
Jesus is alive!

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new! And it is all from God, who through the Messiah has reconciled us to himself and has given us the work of that reconciliation, which is that God in the Messiah was reconciling mankind to himself, not counting their sins against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors of the Messiah; in effect, God is making his appeal through us. What we do is appeal on behalf of the Messiah, “Be reconciled to God! God made this sinless man be a sin offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God’s righteousness.”

"Deep is calling to deep"

Psalm 42:7-8 "Deep is calling to deep at the thunder of your waterfalls; all your surging rapids and waves are sweeping over me. By day Adonai commands his grace, and at night his song is with me as a prayer to the God of my life."

Living water

There are so many people out there who are broken. Their life can be a running diatribe of who has hurt them and how bad their life was but with that, what is there to gain? Sure for a moment you’ll feel vindication. You were able to lash out at the person who hurt you because someone finally listened but by doing this, all you are doing is just adding animosity between you and the person who hurt you.
What people don’t realize, what they really lost was love. They had given love and received back broken love. How do we get real love back? By receiving God’s love. Let me explain, if you had a balloon filled to the top with water and people came by and took their pin and stab it every time they hurt you in your life, little by little, the water in the balloon would eventually run out and the balloon would dry up. The person’s heart has become hardened. The love they had is now gone and now they are just going thru the motions. Trying to find other means to fill up that balloon but it is just temporary because it will just flow back out the pin holes. Also just as a person who never got poked, their water becomes dead, never giving and flowing, bottled up and their life becomes stagnate.
What has to change is to have Yeshua’s living water running thru us. His living water never runs out, never becomes stagnate and has life. When we accept God’s love, Abba fills the balloon back up with His love, the emptiness will be gone. This is the only way to ever become whole again. The balloon never empties, if we keep in His presence. The balloon will also never stop leaking. This is profound because we need the trials or else we will never have any pin holes and never grow in the Lord. What should come out of us now, is God’s love. So when persecution comes and it will, when you get poked, Yeshua’s living water will now flow out of you. Stay connected to Abba, learn of His love and you will flow with His living water.
John 4:10, 13-14 Yeshua answered her, “If you knew God’s gift, that is, who it is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink of water,’ then you would have asked him; and he would have given you living water. Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I will give him will never be thirsty again! On the contrary, the water I give him will become a spring of water inside him, welling up into eternal life!”

Petra

Back in the 90's Christian rock bands were gaining acceptance. The only group I liked was Petra and their album "No Doubt" then I found out they started the year I was born and my jaw dropped when I found out they did the color song enjoy :0)

In His heart

One day, about 17 years ago, I was in my room reading Luke 22. When I got to verse 60, I was brought into the Spirit. Yeshua had me where Peter was standing. Peter had just denied Him. I saw Yeshua on the opposite side and I could feel His hurt and pain of being denied. I was one with Him. I also felt His hurt of when I had let Him down. Then I was back in my room again. I was so overwhelmed with emotion as if someone filled a container, I just sat there and cried.
You see, Yeshua knows our pain. We are one with Him, you feel what He feels and He feels what you feel. He wants us to know that. There is not one issue He's not aware of. Trust in Him, He's our ally. Ready to support and helps us in our lives.

"Oh Lord, you're beautiful"

"Oh Lord, you're beautiful"
By Keith Green

Oh Lord, you're beautiful,
Your face is all I seek,
For when your eyes are on this child,
Your grace abounds to me.

Oh Lord, you're beautiful,
Your face is all I seek,
For when your eyes are on this child,
Your grace abounds to me.

I wanna take your words and shine it all around.
But first help me just, to live it Lord.
And when I'm doing well, help me to never seek a crown.
For my reward is giving glory to you.

Oh Lord, please light the fire,
That once burned bright and clear.
Replace the lamp of my first love,
That burns with holy fear.

I want to take your words and shine it all around.
But first help me just, to live it Lord.
And when I'm doing well, help me to never seek a crown.
For my reward is giving glory to you.

Oh Lord, you're beautiful,
Your face is all I seek,
For when your eyes are on this child,
Your grace abounds to me.

"...But by my Spirit!"

The Holy Spirit movie has made an impact on the christian community, I wished for the better but obviously not. A lot of people believe it's spiritual connotations as dismissive rather than believing what is happening. It was a good documentary that followed the Holy Spirit and His leadings. Not man's ways of "getting people saved by their efforts." Showing people what it is to be lead by the Spirit. In one part, a English accented person was witnessing to people saying works are dead only the word of God can be trusted. Last time I checked, it was the Holy Spirit flowing thru the "early church" Christians, healing people not us. So what are they trying to say? The Holy Spirit is doing nothing today? Heaven forbid! It is by His works we see the glory of God. It is not just about knowing the word of God and having faith but works too. In James 2:14-17 "What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith but has no actions to prove it? Is such “faith” able to save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food, and someone says to him, “Shalom! Keep warm and eat hearty!” without giving him what he needs, what good does it do? Thus, faith by itself, unaccompanied by actions, is dead."
The church today is so off the mark of where Abba wants us to be with Him. The church says "But we save people, we feed them, we tell them what they need to know." Abba wants US to have a personal relationship with Him not the church! We don't do anything! Abba & His Spirit does it! Yeshua followed the heart of Abba and that's what we are suppose to do and not follow our will & needs. We need to mature in Yeshua, hear the heart of Abba and follow where the Spirit will guide us. He knows what is in people's hearts. When was the last time you knew what was in someone's nefesh? That's why He needs to guide us. If we would just do that, how efficient do you think we would be? A lot less time would be wasted then us running around in circles.
When I was witnessing in downtown Albany, NY with another church, my church didn't do it at the time, we would go up & down Central Ave then the side streets. The second time I went with them, we approached a group of adults. Our group started to pray & talk to them. There was this older gentleman off to the side sweeping in front of his home. He was of a different race then the group. His countenance was angry & sad, being excluded from the group once again. The Spirit started to nudging me, wanting me to go over to him. I did by myself after several nudgings. When I gave him a tract, his face lit up. Most of the area around us was their ethnic group but I started noticing they would only go to their race. After several times going with them, they wanted me to start using only their tracts w/ their church name on it. There are so many people out there with hurting hearts. Why do we shut ourselves up in our churches, ignoring the unbelievers? One church, in how many that are in downtown Albany, would actually witnessed to people and then be bias on skin color? Auggh! What's wrong with this picture?
In times of old, unbelievers knew of Abba, the God of the Jews. You had to become Jewish to be with Him. Now, with Yeshua dying on the cross, all can have His Spirit in them. This is great news! What will it take for people to let the Spirit lead them? A true personal relationship with Him! Abba is a jealous God and will not share His glory with anyone. People need to seek and hear Him. It is possible to hear Him, this is not sorcery, satan will not help, will not heal, will not do the things of God. People have lost this in the church age, seeking Abba by other means. We need to do what Yeshua did on this earth. He followed Abba's Spirit, healed the sick, ministered to the poor, helped the hurting and the lost. He did this mostly to the Jewish nation but we have The Holy Spirit in us now and we are to go to the whole world following the Spirit for His Glory.
Zechariah 4:6 Then he said to me, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts

John 16:13-15 However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future. He will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and announce it to you. Everything the Father has is mine; this is why I said that he receives from what is mine and will announce it to you.

"The Perfect Stranger"

In the movie "The Perfect Stranger" by Jefferson Moor, he is really clever on what he does. He use the book "Dinner with a Perfect Stranger: An Invitation Worth Considering" by David Gregory but used the wife as the main character instead. Really good movie that explains what it is to believe as A true believer. It also brings an emotional aspect to the story that wasn't as present in the book. David Gregory's third book "Night With a Perfect Stranger: The Conversation That Changes Everything" is about how to walk as a believer.
People go to church, hear the message and then file out to do it all over again the next week. They get to a certain point in their walk and just stop, thinking they have reached the point of knowing their "God of religion" to what their church believes. "Sheepeople". They get saved but never grow in the Spirit. In Revelation 3:15-16 “To the church in Laodicea, Yeshua says “I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!" the madness needs to end. The sheep are being led to fail, falling of a cliff in droves. They must have a personal relationship with Abba not a religion. We need to help those who don't know His Spirit by first hearing what the Spirit wants us to do. He knows what's in their heart. To take away what binds them from doing His will, to help them overcome and break free, seeking His heart, His will, knowing His love for them.

Here are a few scene's I combined from the movie;

I forgave sins, I accepted worship,
I healed the Sick, I raised the Dead,
I demonstrated my power over nature.
I said, I existed before Abraham, and I was one
with the Father, and the giver of eternal life.
Now, who does that sound like to you?
Just because you claim to be God,
doesn't mean that you are.
No, but it does mean,
that I wasn't just another religious leader.
You only have 3 options:
(1) either I was telling the truth;
(2) I was lying; or (3) I was insane.
Good religious leaders don't claim to be God.
People distort the truth mainly because
they reject this proof, they were given.
And what proof is that?
That I rose from the dead...
You are sitting there, obviously alive...
If you claim, that you were once dead,
it would be pretty hard for me
to prove otherwise.
Good point!

You know, these things you are telling me...
I've never really heard them explained before.
I know.
My message got all jumbled along the way.
Church leadership, power structures...
People were so anxious to
reduce God to a set of rules.
Is it rules, what He is it all about?
Hardly...
God is all about joining people to Himself.
That's how people were originally designed:
To have God's very life within them.
And without it, you are like a
new Mercedes with no engine.
It may look good on the outside, but it won't work,
because it's missing the most important part.
Then if that's what Christianity is all about,
then why don't the Christians just say so?
Because a lot of them really don't understand.
They haven't listened to what I said, even though
my words are right there in front of them.
Why doesn't God just show Himself to people?
Then what would you have Him do?

You were made for so much more than this.
You're so afraid, God is gonna steal your fun,
but you got it backwards...
You are like a little kid,
who doesn't want to go to Disney World,
because she is having too much fun
making mud-pies by the curb.
There's no adventure quite like being hooked up
with the Creator of the Universe.

"The Agape factor"

Lately I have been reading and thinking about the millennium reign and what Abba will have us do as believers. I'm sure starting will be just like Noah and his sons, we will be fruitful & multiply but now, Yeshua will be with us. Everyone will be saved, know who He is and worship Him but I wonder how long it will last. It only took a few hundred years to turn away from Abba before. Will we share the same fate or will those who come against Yeshua, come out before or after satan is released?
Then I started to think how could people be so deceived when Yeshua is right there on the earth. There will be people that will reject Him and I think, why? They know who He is, know His ways, know His & Abba's love. So how could they choose not to be with Him? Will it be their sin? Ananias and Sapphira lack of maturity brought judgment. To whome much is given much is required. We will know and be responsible for what we do, nothing will be hidden. Even with all that, why would someone who knows Abba's love, reject Him? Could it be because of Agape love? A person not wanting to give selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love to people? Will this be something that will still plague us even in the millennium reign? We have free will. We can choose it or not but the sad thing is we need to have the agape love now. Yeshua told us to follow Him. Do His works. We have the Spirit in us, we are without excuse? Maybe here, we have that learning curve but in the millennium reign, we will need to do it. Better to be able to give agape love now then trying to learn it later.

Michael W. Smith concert

This Sunday I'll be going to Michael W. Smith concert again. The last time I went to his concert was in the 90's @ the Knick Arena in Albany, NY. The only other arena concerts I been to was Steve Chapman and Jack Wagner. Oh and yes, I'll be doing my happy dance.  :0)

Update: The church was packed! The parking lot was two football field's wide and of course I was parked near the end in the grass. The church concerts are a lot better than the arena ones. You can actually see them and they can speak more freely. The other church one I went to was Robin Mark, a lot smaller but still awesome!

I will wait for you

You longed after me
for many seasons
You saw me
And I did not see you
You touched me
And I could not feel you
You came to me when I was very young and touched my heart
He took away my understanding
For a time to come.
You took my hand, we danced
You filled my heart with your love,
We are one
He created you for me and I for you.
I will go where you go,
I will dance and sing the song of our love,
Now and forevermore, My Love
I will wait for you.

Let the Lion Roar!

It's about time! Church rise up now and graft yourselves to Israel, who's Maker of the Tree of Life is Yeshua HaMashiach! Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." Todah Abba!

"The Last Christian"

The last time I read a David Gregory book he was working on another. I had forgotten about that then and today I came across one of my pics I made (see  below) and found out its done. So right now I downloaded "The Last Christian" and will be reading it. So AWESOME!
